This course is aimed at providing very basic initial first aid to those who are unconscious or in cardiac arrest. This course is not suitable as an alternative to a full first aid at work qualification. This qualification is ideal for those members of your team who are not first aiders but could help someone in those precious few seconds and minutes before help arrives. Whilst the HSE sets out the guidance for minimum first aid requirements, we strongly believe these are life skills everyone should have.
The course's awarding body is First Aid Awards (FAA). It is regulated by Ofqual and is SQA accredited. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
