This course combines an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (day 1) with specific training around sport and leisure injuries (day 2). The course is aimed predominantly at the leisure and activity industry where no activity specific course exists. It focus' only on adult first aid. Whilst the HSE sets out the guidance for minimum first aid requirements, we strongly believe these are life skills everyone should have.
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of your first aid highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course's awarding body is First Aid Awards (FAA). It is regulated by Ofqual and is SQA accredited. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
